The Joshua Vides x Converse Chuck 70 Hi “Multicolor” is one of a pair of limited edition colorways and constructions of the iconic high-top sneaker by artist Joshua Vides. Bringing his signature “sketch” aesthetic to the Chuck Taylor, a look Vides gained recognition for with his custom sneaker paint jobs, he transforms the classic model with removable velcro-attached canvas panels and “sketched” detailing on the sole. This colorway features removable yellow, blue, red, and green canvas panels on each side of the upper. The white rubber midsole and toe cap is printed with cream-colored outlines that create the optical illusion of a sketch. The outsole continues the theme with more sketched outlines, as well as a fly, underneath the translucent rubber. The Joshua Vides x Converse Chuck 70 Hi “Multicolor” released in limited quantities at ComplexCon Chicago, followed by a slightly wider drop on August 16, 2019.
